Yep, That is what it looks like. In this typical type of Sylt classic conditions, you don't want to be offshore anchored in a boat. It is only a matter of time before you take a good one over the bow. When we ran races, they were only slalom in these conditions, start signaled from the beach or beach starts and preferably waveriding only so we did not have to launch any boats from shore! We lost one hard bottom inflatable (zodiac style boat) in the shore break on one of the years I ran the event. Guys stopped the boat instead of running it up the beach and got nailed by a set and flipped it!ronnie wrote:Hope this isn't the sea state typical of 30 knots.
