Cheers Seb! :thumb:

powerkitefan - there was one at the NABX or whatever the last event in the US was called ... maybe Jekyl Island? I couldn't go so I sulked and didn't pay attention to it
It was well liked by those who rode it, and should be a good contender IIRC. Have a sniff around powerkiteforum.com for more info

FS Speed 3
I have the 19m and 12m ; those are my Light - Med wind kite:

19 : 7-8 to 15
12: 10 to 25

The flysurfers are so nice, the feeling that you get when you jump is really worth the $$$. I was the only one last year on our spot with a Speed 3 -15, this year we are now 5 owners and a lot of people want to get some also.

I also own LEI :

a 8m Taboo 25 and +
9m Switchblade 15 - 25
12m Lithium : 10 - 20

There are some overlap but it always depends on the conditions, I never get out with a foil when it is unstable, gusty etc...

My quiver is just perfect :-)

i only get out when the wind is unstable and gusty...well,not like i have many choices...i have only those winds.....  inland alps lake and alps snowkiting.
the speed3 is very stable in those winds, unlike the speed2 which was a real pain..

I agree with Seb S3 21 and 12DE is a perfect combo for 6-25knots. above that I'm on LEIs too. The 21 is a session saver but I jump on the 12 ASAP. I still can't understand how Armin did a double loop on the 21 and lived to post the vid.

The Speed3 12 definitely. It is the best FS Speed ever. Still quite an overlap with the 21.
Dump the P4 15, the worst of all FS kites. Apart the name, it's got nothing in common with the smaller Ps4s. The 8 is my favourite PS4 and probably favourite FS kite.

Well I can't dump it now you said that, can I?
What's different? Compared to the S2 it's pretty quick & easy to ride (when I got it tuned right) ...

Regular or DLX 12 - does it matter?

Even if it's only a 12m, yes it does! I love my 12dlx, compare to the regular it will be faster, have a better low end, will be more stable and will jump higher. Jumping with this S3 12dlx in 20-25 knots is the best feeling. :thumb:

Actually I have a 19m DX, last year I had a 15m STD + I also have the 12 STD;

The bigger the kite the bigger the difference it makes if you go with the Deluxe vs the std. On the 15m and Higher I would go on DX for sure. I have the 12m std but I tried Seb's 12m dx.

It does make a difference but it is not as big as on the bigger size. I love my 12m and I take it out when there is 10 knots and more so it is not a problem of keeping the kite in the air. It might be a bit slower and less reactive but it is still the best FS I've had so far. 12m is the nicest size since it is a lot faster and it does jump really high. I think you will jump higher with the 12m than on the 19m or 21m. Since it is faster you can crank it really good.

The 19m and 21m are session saver though and they have such a nice hangtime :-)
