I could not help notice that all discussions in this forum never talk about Wipika. Well I am a wipika owner and I thaught that they where the best kites in the world. Honestly this is true observation. My freind has an X2, it is quite impressive but I am sure that the new Airblast is. So What is the reason for forgetting about Wipika? is it a commercial one or other?

Thanks

it's so boring to speak about may be the best kites of the world. everybody knows about Cattelan world hang time record with the Airblast 8.4 ( around 10 second ).
one year ago we can discuss about fragile kites but now that the Blasts are bomb proof what else can we say? may be the name of the future Airblast. without X please.

Well, if you want to win a Kitesurf competition, there is no reson to make it harder, by telling your competitors what to use!!

In may2002 I even switched from 2002 Rhino's(16 + 9.3) to 2002 AB's(11.8 + 8.4) and a Toro8 after seeing them perform and trying them myself. And even more important seeing that the construction of 2002AB and later is on par with North. Wipika C-bars 2002 are IMO the best standard bars at the moment.

At the moment the choice of a kite is more a matter of taste. The AB's 2002 and Toro8(for strong winds and high waves) are the way I like a kite to be.

Oh boy. I guess that the fact that the guy who won the PKRA contest in Cabarette was on a Wipika ( Tyburski )doesn't mean much either huh? I think that Wippika had a terrible kite that was hyped alot and sold tons then everyone hated them. A bad experience is reported to go alot further than a good one. I think alot of Wippika riders got burned on some of the not so hot kites that the brand is still suffering today. PS if we are using contest results to determine the best kitesurfers then I think this year Slingshot is beating almost everyone.

I have had an Airblast 10 for 6 months now and love every minute of it.The only thing that gripped my sh*t about it was the briddle which after snapping for the secound time I took off and have'nt really noticed to much difference (just as fast turning).
