GoPro Kite Line Mount For Contour Cameras?

Im wanting to buy the GoPro Kite Line Mount but i have a contour camera, would it work?
Anyone tried it?

They have the Contour line mounts that are specifically designed for use with all Contour Cameras and housings.
They should have these in stock.

what are you using for a strut mount for a contour?

the http://contour.com/products/headband-mount or something else.

I tried the line mount the other day and it seemed when the kite was not fully powered the line tension would reduce a bit and the camera would start oscillating quite a bit, like a guitar string that had just been plucked. This was on a rrd bar with a v about 12-15 feet from the bar. Perhaps moving the v closer would help? What distances form the bar have you tried?

Or just ride more powered?

on the line mount, does anybody use the camera without the waterproof case(far right pictured) Contour advertises as "water resistant" is this good enough to take an occasional splash on the lines or should i be using the case?

For the strut i use a similar line that the head band but it can be ajusted more and a safety line to the zipp of the strut.

Ill never use the camera in the water without the watercase, even in the snnow i used the waterproof case because with the orange colour is easier to find if it falls

You need a housing on Contour cameras. If you intend to primarily shoot video on the lines - go Contour GPS or Contour+.
