I've taken a 9 One in over 40kts without any doubt of my safety or the kites performance.
Taking a 9m kite out in over 40 knots..... over 40 knots is 50 mph.
That's not safe by any measure.
This is just what we need another kite pimp saying his 9m kite is safe and performs just fine in 50 mph winds.
Kyle and Rocky...... reminds me of Bevis and Butthead.

Aloha Fred,
In regards to safely flying a 9m in winds over 40, this is not a reccomendation to anyone to do the same.I found myself in a situation where the wind speed increased heavily in the Eastern part of the Gorge and the kite kept its composure under heavy load.
Sure, call me a pimp! I love working with Airush. I have my reasons to stick with a company that feels like family at this point. 7-8 years now. I certainly have some bias since I spend a ton of time on Airush kites but, I do try my best to keep things objective.
Rocky's attack is pretty immature and its a shame he hasnt replied with a legit review of the kite. His cred is getting crushed after 2 posts. Hopefully he can dig out of this and keep things on the positive from here on out. Id say it's pretty crucial this happens for Dimitri and Epic's sake.
Remember, I did not start this post. I am simply lending my personal experiences to this forum in defense of this kite.
This is what you wrote:

[b]"I've taken a 9 One in over 40kts.."[b]
That means going out on over 40kts.. not I got caught out there when the wind went up...
[b] "without any doubt of my safety" [b] That means perfectly safe, fine and dandy, no risk at all.
[b]"any doubt of ...... the kites performance....[b] This means the kite preforms absolutely fine in 40kts+ ...... 50mph. For gods sake sand flies waist high in 50mph winds
If you are going to be a spokesman for you company of kite you can't write this type of tripe.
This Rocky guy may have been over the top, rude or whatever but he was not putting people at risk in what is an already extreme sport. Your comments are simply irresponsible and can lead to accidents. Marketing hype like yours that puts clients at risk is not only unethical, but really bad for business. You don't put your customers at risk.
Anybody that does not have at least some doubts about their safety with a 9m kite up in 50mph winds is either lying or does not know what they are talking about, especially if it's up in the Gorge.
