Hi,

What is the width of the new bars? L/M/S? Can you use medium bar with 6.25 Gipsy or small bar with smoke?

If choose 10.5 and 7.5 i can use same bar, but not sure on highend on the 7.5. Want to be able to ride up to 32 knots with gusts up to 34-36?

If i go with smoke and gipsy i need 1 small and 1 medium bar if i want to go by the book.

Thanks in advance!

Mats

Hi,

I am also a swede riding wainman's.

I have the 2009 gypsy, smoke and boss, and 2011 bunny. In the 2009 models they all had the same size bar, and it works just fine. I'm not sure about the bunny because i have not tried it yet.

About the range of the gypsy, I only ride surfboards and weights about 65 kg. I have been on my domingo and the gypsy in gusts to 16m/s, and thats about the upper limit for me, but thats on the inner knot setting and a big floaty board, so i guess you can squeeze out a little more wind of you tune it for the conditions. Also, my gypsy is 6,5square meters, compared to the 2011 7square meters and the 2012 6,25square meters.

hi Mats,

Here is the bar info on the new Rabbit Gang 2.0 Carrot Bar.

Large Bar - 12, 14.5m
Medium Bar - 10.5m, 9m, 7.5m
Small Bar - 6.25m, 5m

Yes, the medium bar is used with the 10.5m and 7.5m.

If you go with anything from the 10.5 to the 5m the Medium bar will do if you only want one bar IMHO. I always fly small bars so I use the Wainman Small bar on my 5m-12m.

100% agree with Chooch!

I fly 5, 6.5, 7, 9, 10.5 and sometimes even the 12 with my small bar. A friend of mine with a very fast wave-riding style style flies all of them on the large bar.
Sure if you want to use only one bar, the medium bar will work fine for all kites (could get a bit heavy on the big mama).

Lot of it is personal preference as well.

Hi.
Are the line length on Big Mama and Boss size L bar the same?
I think previous year's Big Mama had longer 10m line extensions, but I guess that's no longer the case?

Also, is the new bar with better safety compatible with older kites?
Thanks.

Hi TakoTime,

Yes the Rabbit Gang 2.0 Big Mama and Boss both use the (L) bar that has 24.5m lines.

The new Carrot Bar has a below the bar flag out system. Here are some sneak peaks from the Surf Expo in Orlando: http://www.thekiteboarder.com/2011/09/p ... ntrol-bar/

Stay tuned...

aloha, WHUSA

Any review from users of the new kites...? what are the differences with the previous ones? Grunt, speed and depower which is not the main feature of the Rabbits, especially the Smoke IMHO. Come on guys. I'm sure some lucky ones got their hands on these things already...
