@Wondamic: funny that you criticise the zipper on the kite bags. I think this was the smartest kind ever put on bags. Same goes for the board bags. Big zippers only made of plastic. All other types someday get busted by salt coz the thing you pull is made of metal. Can't see if that's the case on the new bags but that would be a stupid. So I hope Franz did not take that option to satisfy the guys who change their gear every season and never experienced having to break a rusted zip because of the salt...

Nah brotha, I was referring to the backing on the zipper, not the zipper it self. If you look at the picture again, it's that big black piece that's sticking out. They beefed that up, which is really nice. As for the zipper, it's still plastic.

From what I can tell, it's the same pulley...not sure if you are under 180lbs but I ride my kites strictly on single line connection. However, if you don't or can't I can see how this would be a problem.

You can always hit up WH and ask for a solution, they have great customer service.

Did they tune-up the front bridles and pulleys on 2.0 because those on the 2009 kites are crap. Got a front bridle broken 2 days ago on my Gypsy, which other than that looks like brand new. Kind of disapointed by that... But I still love the kites and not ready to change them as I demoed some others these last weeks, just to compare them with 2012 kites, and nothing's like the rabbits for my riding.

They changed the attachment of the pulley in 2010, to get rid of wear.

They changed it to look like this:

I only use the compression bags so much better than messing with zippers.

Alright, so I got a chance to ride Gypsy 2.0. It was on the low end of things since the wind was blowing 16-22mph. I was on a surfboard and head high surf....

When I first pumped it up, the struts and leading edge appear to be a little bit larger than before--2cm? I could be totally wrong here...other than that not too much has changed, very minor tweaks.

In the air the first thing you will notice is how rock solid and direct this kite flies. The 2.0s are stable, stable, stable. I was doing backstrokes to my board without any worries. Or when I was riding down the line, the kite sits, follows and waits. It's like a super compact machine that's willing and able to move any where you want, when you want.

The power delivery is WH classic, natural, progressive, and smooth.

The new bar felt really good. My setting on the kite is on fast, so the bar pressure was lite. I had feared that the new bar would be totally different from last year's model. Thankfully the apple didn't fall too far from the tree. The Carrot Bar is a great improvement. Good work WH!

Now, if you haven't noticed on my description, I am a dealer/kiteschool for WH. So, take my opinions with a grain of salt. However, I will state this...I've been approached by other kite companies, with extremely enticing offers. I could have purchased kites for my school for practically at cost! (sometimes I wonder why I didn't take the deal). But, when I jump back on the Rabbits, I quickly realize why I chose Wainman Hawaii.

More pictures and hopefully videos to follow...

Anyone know how to rig the small 2012 kites with single line setup? Is it the pigtail on the bridle you should use now? Didnt find single lines pigtails that the old manual shows.

No worries...ask for the single line set up. You will need to provide your serial number. They should send you the kit with a basic manual on how to install them.

Let me know if you need anything.

any good reason why is it not possible to buy kite only? (apart from trying to make more money on sales?)
