Id have to disagree I think the Eclipse Kima are the best wave kite I have found. Very stable and and lots of low end combined with fast turning make it a great wave kite

What a perfect little pointless topic.

Well we are very happy for you that you bought a good kite for your liking and we hope you have much fun with it.... is this your point?

What about the Ben Wilson kite? or Switch Kites from Felix Pivec? Eclipse Kima used to be nice. Epic Renegade and whatever you have more on pure wave kites.

But in all cases good for you you spend your money on a kite you love.

well yes agree - strange topic... Thought this topic was going to be about the qualities that makes a kite perform well in the waves. I´m not any good wave rider myself, but do sometimes have some fun in them. For me my favorite wave kite is the Kahoona V4. It has a good low end and amazing downwind drift, so I can just place the kite and carve down the line without thinking or worrying about the kite at all. And the quick pivot turning makes it turn on a dime without pulling me off the board, and lets me back out of big close out in no time. But I guess there´s a lot of good wave kites and opinions out there...

No two kiters ride the same way, and because of that we all have our prefences for different kites to suit our riding style and conditions.

What do we think make a good surf kite and why? What characteristics are most important to you and why? What do you need fast turning for, why do you need quick depower, where do they come in useful?
