not too large, but you need to know what you can hold...testing is key in this case...test the pop, the weight of the board (too light is not good!), the straps have to be comfortable even when they are big. And a good handle is important...best is to get a custom handle..stiff, higher with good grip tape around

I am heavy with 93 kg...so if I hold the 18 in 20+ knots I rather have a 5th line so it will less likely collapse under the load. Plus 5th line is good for relaunch...it is a biiiig kite!

I was looking at ur pics from the new DVD, u use the 18m Dino! Wow

16m Dino would be better to start, or the 16m Rebel?

They don't make the 16m Rebel anymore. You could try to find a used one. If you want the 16m you have to get the Dyno now.

75-80k the 16m Dyno will light up your life! lol

At 80k it works well for me from 15-23,25kns

"You need to decide old school and kite loops OR unhooked and kiteloops"

Kite loops go with everything! Wakestyle will be a faster kite so you have well powered kite loops, old school will have really slow but in my opinion also awesome kite loops, but it's ok if the kite loop on a slower kite doesn't doesn't finish in the air, just land and finish the loop on the water.

Nothing makes a board off better than a megaloop, to me it's way more elegant than doing a deadman or board flip, love watching that huge kite plow its way through the power zone like some kind of tractor in the sky.

Make sure you get the kite loop to go low, it's better to have the kite loop go low and not be able to finish the loop in the air than to helicopter the loop way up in the sky. Just my opinion on what looks good.

forget kiteloops with big kites. Cannot have it all. Megaloop boardoff is very cool, but for me not possible due to big kite, and don't want to get hurt...something for the kids. I love what I do and enjoy it every day, even without kiteloops. I do some lower kiteloop stuff, but no way the kite catches me ;-)

The Rebel 2010 16 has an awesome range. Great kite, great depower. Dyno will give you more hangtime though, and that one is more likely to be available. Any of those kites are good. But also do check other companies kites, since I have no idea what is on the market...just get it big and slow...then you will progress much faster.

Come on Toby you can do it. Remember, on those slow kites, to loop it sometimes you gotta let go of the bar, grab the leader and tug. I'd love to see you old school and kite loop it :-)
