Hello,
I am going to fly from Manila, (Philippines) to Boracay (Aklan) with CEBU PACIFIC airlines.
How do I bring my 32 kg kite bag along with me. There are no extra baggage rates on their website. has anyone ever flown to boracay from manila. Do I pay at the checkin?
hope you can help.
I am leaving in 5 weeks.
thanks
Davide

Manila to Boracay bound passengers via Catiklan are usually given 10KGs luggage allowance. But if you are flying direct, airlines should give you 20kg just show your passport with arrival stamp.
You make sure you register in any BWA member school (all are member anyway and pay you P600 (Euro 1) as membership fee to the Boracay Windsport Association.. This will cover your stay at that shop/center to use their facilies (water, toilet, shower, kite caddie and hang out...and most of all helping us keep the beach clean and safe for all beach users...But fee exclude your storage.
See you soon!

Not a problem - they will take your gear don't worry (pay about $2~3/kg over 20kgs)
I reccomm
end go to either Hanging/Green Yard or Hagabat when you get there (Bulabog Kite Beach)and they will sort your BWA membership - easy...

No problem says buzz!!!!:-)
Our airlines are used to taking over sized luggage every year during Boracay Funboard Cup where windsurfers with more than 100kgs each equipments 3m long and bulky windsurfer are flown to Catiklan from Manila...Kite is nothing for them:-)
Thanks for the recommendation Buzz!!!
Cheers!

Same question almost 4 years later...
Does Cebu Pacific accept kite bags on their domestic flights from Manila to Boracay?
The baggage information on their website isn't very helpful - it list all additional fees for domestic and international flights including excess luggage, but at the end of it is information that flights to Boracay have allowances of only up to 10kg.
So I'm quite confused...
Don't mind paying extra (at some reasonable rates) but need to know it's possible!
Anyone recent experience?
Thanks

To fly from Manila to Boracay Caticlan (the closest airport). You will get 10 kgs luggage allowance also hand luggage and lap top as well . All the excess luggage (no problem for a kitebag) at 150 php per kg. The flight to Kalibo allows you to register you sprot euqipment but its four our bus drive.

...never flown with Cebu Air to Boracay (Caticlan), but I'm pretty sure they'll take yr kite-gear - as long as you ask them nicely and,
pay the 12kgs over-wieght fees !
(12kgs ie: u get 20kgs allowance if u fly into the 'pines on the same day as u fly domestic to Caticlan)

Iam not sure that CEBU pacific cargo works. As for me I was using Philippines air cargo servise ( Therminal 3, 10 min by taxi from therminal 4 ) . My 32 kg board bag was sent by the cargo service, and I payed 1500 php for that, bag arrieved earlier than me ( I was flying by CEBU)
