Is that (14m) what you would use in 35 knots wind condition? wouldn't you get down wind drag constantly even with the bar sheet out all the way full arms length?

Warm air gusts up to 35 is possible for me to hold...93 kgx.

Interesting story from yesterday:
a friend of mine, former pro rider in the boardoff time, took my 18 in about 15-16 knots or so...he came in 2 min later and said he cannot hold it...and he is very experienced!
But, his weight is 65 kg. I never would have assumed that he cannot edge to jump it...so, weight IS a big factor with being able to hold such big kites!

At 80k I could not hold a 14m rebel in 35 that’s for sure. I would pump up the 11m I would try a 12m if I had one. Toby at 35kns and 90+kg you would be at you limit and no room for gust… true?

I also guess the guy that tried your kite 18m Rebel was wearing a waist harness right?. I’m finding something new out about harnesses. I now that I’ve found a waist harness the does not jamp on my ribs and have both a seat and waist harness I found the following

Seat harness:
1. Lower hookpoint
2. Lower center of gravity

Waist harness:
1. Highter hook point
2. Higher center of gravity

I find with the waist harness and the higher hook point it’s easier to hold full power because your bar is further way. However with the higher center of gravity requires less power from the kite to pull you off balance thus not being able to hold the power and edge before jumping

The waist gives you a lower hook point and utilizes more off your body weight to hold the kite. I was shocked the difference the harness made.

Well, gusts to 35. Average maybe 30.
I had the shadowbox attached...max jump was 14.6 m

Normally with a seat harness you can hold more power, because the pressure point is lower.
I ride a combination of bith, it is a seat but hook sits like a waist...easier for boardoffs.
Lower hook is better for deadmans or stiffies.

Can someone give me some tips for high speed strong wind darkslide trick,i can do it ok in medium wind and going in the trick with medium speed & the kite @ 45 degree angle to the water, but when i start the slide in higher wind or moving at faster speed then my body got bended by the fast momentum and i got throw off balance involuntarily, the result is no glide but the body go off to the air with a long hoovering time & board did not touch water.Thank you in advance for help.

It happened at the very early stage of the trick when i begin to throw my body forward and back leg sweep in with kite @ 45 degree ,no loop initiate at this stage; kite loop only at the last stage when board touch back to the water normally, still don't understand why high wind or high speed always messed my feel on this trick.I watched some of you expert doing this with super long glide over and over...and still couldn't get it, wonder why you guys looked very align with the power monemtum line and didn't get throw off the course.
