Isla Mujeres, Mexico tips...anyone been?

Isla Mujeres, Mexico tips...anyone been?
I'm going there next week, Dec. 20th. seems like a good place to kite, but would like some local info. No one seems to know about kiting on the island. Anyone know of launches there?

Was there last august for the whale shark experience, that was real cool, a must do.
Playa Norte will be a good place to launch from with E/NE winds; S/SE winds are ok at the south point but the island is just small and crowded(not kiters), if you're an experienced kiter, then you can launch at any place down there, yes, there is not local kiters but the water colours are amazing, with a cold front that blows from N/NW , playa Garrafon is very good but not sure if they will let you kite there, good luck and go for fun
