Hi Alex,
Thank you very much.
I am interested in the big air results (which kite won and if possible some details).
Would you know them too?
Cheers

Looked like Adam in second on the show down but couldn't quite tell on the video. Johny looked to be faster and had a better point on the final show down on the real time track. The wind surfers looked to be close to not getting up on plane.

I think Julien Kerneur (RRD) won the Big Air contest but I think the computer crashed and they lost all the results. People were very confused as to who had passed in their heats from the first day of the Big Air. When they tried to do the finals for big air there was no wind and people were jumping about 2 m. It was very unfortunate that the wind had died out after the Showdown race.
On the long distance showdown, I heard that Adam almost passed Johnny at the finish but I did not see it because I got wrapped with Joey Pasqualli on the start line when a windsurfer ran into him and started a big tangle up.

thx for the info Alex.
too bad it didn't really work it out.
Sounds like it is not the best way to do it...too much hassle.
Rather let the people go out, do a trick show as high as possible, best show wins. Simple.
Or best trick hooked. Unhooked can be in "freestyle". No need to waist more time for unhooked!

Julien was on the 2012 Addiction Kites. The wind died for the second round, so they simply ranked the scores by the highest jumps in the first round.

Wow! I was there shooting the whole week and only noticed one "bad call" none of the spectators knew of any mistakes either. I thought it was a phenomenal event and a treat to have the top 3 racers in the world there! The town of Los Barilles was very safe too. All the locals look out for travelers.
I really enjoyed it and look forward to going back soon.
