Love my 5m Trigger (2011). For me, the best 5m for my kind of riding. I was glad to hear the 2012 5m is the only kite in the lineup that has the same exact shape.

- Droffats Yes Trigger 5 is absolutely my great love in this range (since 2010). One pic of the session last Friday (Trigger 5) it was a great Loopsession and some higher jumps were also possible. The forecast was really great but it was not as good as we thought. only 25-40 Knts.

Can I use my North Bar (4 lines) from 2011 with the Trigger 12m?
I'm probably buying a Trigger, and it would be great to be able to use my almost new bar with the kite.

Blade uses standard bar setup - all lines same length when fully powered (trim strap + powered bar). I'm not sure what is the situation with North.

Line length can always be adjusted to match.
However, I heard people had issues with their kites due to different size Y on the front lines (Y higher up or lower down).
Not sure if blade trigger is sensitive at this. How far up starts the Y on the blade bar?

The front lines split 3-4 meters from the bar.

Thanks, Oldnbroken.
It's the same on the North bar. However, the north bar has a mini-5th line that goes to the Y (so not a single-front line safety like the blade bar).
Any idea if this affects security , or would the trigger depower sufficiently with the mini-5th?

It´s not a good idea to use a northbar on a bladekite. JN and North normaly uses a very high Y to stable LE, and also the Safety should work with one frontline or a 5th line. If your Y is low on your Northbar and you can put a 5th-line on it, it should work. Blade Trigger works great with a very low (direct above adjuster) to a mid Y 4-5m without problems, a little higher is no problem but not perfect anymore. But safety has to work!!! Test it at low wind with a friend.

my north bar has the Y at 4 m, and has 24 m lines. From what you say, it should work with regards to flying. Will, however, need to test if the Trigger flags out with a mini-fifth...
Someone who is flying triggers has any experience with that?
