Tofu
Not a bad looking bar, good job. Go for the four line kite setup roll up the edges to the first pair of attactments and hook your line up. The kite being soooooo old has a different shape than C kites made after 2001 and you may be able to relaunch it on the snow by playing with the lines, but yoy may have to run a 5th reverse launch line to a v line between 2 struts on the lee end of the kite. The kite is a Naish and May already have attachment points there, if not just push some line through the webbing there in a loop for a attachment point

Woah, a Death Shackle in 2012. Its retro. I like it. But this is not a good reccomendation for somebody asking questions about how to kook up an old C kite. Tofu: better practice with the hook knife.

And what kind of line are you running through the bar?

(Can't tell if newbie or RickI trolling.....)

I love your bar! That is some solid nice work there. When I've made my chicken loops, I've pulled some dyneema line through a high pressure house. Then you can run your quick release inline with your chicken loop if you want.

I see you are flagging on an outside line. On the bars I make, I also run a normal flag out on my bars, so flag out goes through the bar. You can get 1 inch x 1 inch nylon cube, drill two holes straight through, but have the diameter change halfway, so half the hole is about 5mm and half the hole is 2mm. Then you can lark's head a tiny bit of line for one center line so it sticks in there, but the other center line you lark's head some line a bit thicker and the lark's head fits inside the block of nylon, run it all the way to the chicken loop and run it through an o-ring, so it will all flag out properly if you quick release. This is the kind of system that liquid force uses just some plastic with holes drilled in it.

Make sure you test your quick release shackle under your body weight, not all of those release properly when loaded.
