Planning on a little night session tonight but it's going to be snowing. A little concerned about visibility.

Is this a bad idea??? Too dangerous?? Not sure because we've never kited night before

snowing means cloudy. if your spot is near the big city, especially close to well lit highway there are no problems with the visibility. clouds reflect the street lights enough to ride safely.
but you better be sure you know the terrain - some snow covered bowlders or old barbed-wired fence can ruin your whole season.

Try it. If the visibility is really bad you will fall down every 5 seconds because it will be impossible to keep your balance.

Thanks

We're going to be kiting on a lake next to ski resort. So some lighting from the mountain trail lights, condos and streets and other buildings.

Will try and see how it goes

It's beautiful out! Wind picks up at 7

yah, some guys at my place use the LED headlights and the light reflective tapes on their kite's LE for orientation.

dunno where you are kiting but ice has been sketch this season so....

if the wind dies and your buddy falls in, dont walk up to the hole and ask if he's ok, you'll fall in too, lol

just go grab his kite and pull him out by the lines

I'm in Canada, and is been very cold last three weeks or so. Ice should be good and thick. Further south trucks are driving on the lakes which always gives me confidence I won't fall through.

But thanks for the advice!
