Slalom: What course and board?

What type of course will be in the championship slalom? The same of windsurfing?
What kind of board will be the best for this discipline? :bye:

I guess a normal downwind slalom course.

According to Damien Leroy a directional raceboard worked fine for him. You can go faster, and jibes/tags nowadays are so fast, that that is no problem.
Try to search on www.kiteforum.tv for a slalom race video with Damien Leroy, he put a cam into his kite during the slalom race...nice to see his boardspeed.

yes.. i think the best boards for slolom are the free race board, like airush Sector for example :wink:

Due to the very light winds, course race boards were competitive.

There were very few entries for a World Championship too, hence they didn't run a lot of heats with different riders in each heat.

It will take time for the numbers to build up.
