Can anyone comment on this kite?? Does it live up to the hype that is out there? Height, hangtime, stability etc....I've spent time going thru epic posts but they get super long and don't really have much from regular riders. Any feedback would be great.

I rode it on land. Lots of lift, good float, turns fast.

Yes it does live up. :thumb:
Very powerful kite, more powerful than you would think a 10M could be.
For me, the 10M goes right to where a Screamer 14M picks up the lightwind duties, don't feel like I need a 12M at all. 7/10/14 does the job.
Very fast turning, it generates lots of power with movement, not a low aspect grunt bucket.
The lift and float are massive, scary the first few times you jump the kite, 50% higher than what is normal, the first time I sent it. Ho-ly crap!!
The 2011 LTD Edition that I demo'ed was a monster, just a balls out machine, not for the faint of heart.
The new 3G Screamer 10M LTD is clearly the next step in the LTD evolution, smoother and less raw power/hot rod,...more refined, easy to jump and easy to land the jumps, still a monster, but a good kind of monster.
This 3G LTD is fast enough that I'm running it on the slow setting now!
It pulls smoothly and powerfully through the turns/transitions, and the kite just wants to always fly forward, zero backstall.
It is a bit higher aspect than some kites, it blazes upwind.
I did not want to buy new gear when I tried these kites, but I could not ignore what I experienced.
I am a regular rider, very basic intermediate talent level, so this is not an expert only kite, but it is not a mild mannered, sleepy, cruiser kite, that is for sure. The Screamer LTD is stable and very predictable but is not as easy going as their Renegade kites, which fit into that all around, do everything category that is easy for any level kiter. I liked the Renegade 11M that I tested a lot, but my heart went thump thump when I got on the Screamers.

I highly recommend one,..
...but Dimitri is not kidding when he says not to try one if you just spent all your money on another kite.

Hello "surf-turkey",
I am sorry about the long threads we have on the KITEFORUMS, but this is what happens when you try the EPIC KITES. People just get so excited.
Another example was 3 days ago I was at the beach taking pictures of the new RACER kite from Epic and few people were out on SCREAMERS and RENEGADES plus 2 other brands. So one guy came out on the beach and asked me what size kites people were using. I told him they were all over the place from 17m for the RACER to 9 meter RENEGADE. So I told him to rig a 14 or a 12 meter kite. But then he told me that he just bought 3 new kites from another kite company and hated how slow his 14 meter was. So I told him that the SCREAMER 14 was as fast as any other 12 meter kite in the market. He looked at me and told me this exact words: "COME ON..."
So I told him just try the SCREAMER 14 and you will see for yourself. So I went in my car and took the S14 out for him. Then he saw the S12 and told me he would rather try a S12 then the S14. So I gave him the S12 (3G). But once I handle him the kite I told him: "IF YOU ARE NOT IN THE MARKET TO BUY A KITE DON'T TRY THIS KITE BECAUSE YOU ARE GOING TO WANT TO BUY IT AFTER KITING ON IT." He looked at me and started to laugh. So he went on kiting and I left to pick up my kids from school.

Two hours later I came back to the beach to check on how my S12 was doing. While I was standing on the beach watching every body, he came towards me kiting yelling "I LOVE THIS KITE....CAN I KITE MORE?". So told him to call me once he is done and left for the office.
An hour and forty minutes later he called me and wanted to buy the SCREAMER 12. He would not stop talking about it. He could not believe the hang time, the speed, and how fast the S12 improved his riding in 3 hrs of kiting. Even his friend who was kiting with him could not believe it. I also explained him the reason why we have the "WARNING" sign on all our ads. "WARNING: DO NOT BUY ANOTHER KITE UNTIL YOU EXPERIENCE AN EPIC KITE". Because we know the results, and this was a good example.
Now he wants to buy a S10 (3G) and the S 7 (3G).

So if you need more info you can always email me at dimitri@epickite.com and I will be very happy to help you out choosing what kite is best for you. But so you know the SCREAMER 10 (3G) is in a league of its own. It is a mix of Screamer and Judge (C) kite. I love the SCREAMER 10 (3G).

Whaooo....that was fast.
Please let us know what you think about the SCREAMER 10 (3G) that you just bought after giving a try. (good or bad)
Also may I know where you bought the SCREAMER 10 LTD from? You can always email me at: dimitri@epickites.com for privacy.
The reason I am asking this is because I want to find out if you bought it from an EPIC dealer, and if so, how good was their customer service.

I have the new 10 LTD. It is a completely new kite compared to all the other Epic kites including the Screamer and past 10 LTDs. It has a little bit of a swept profile along the LE resembling a mild delta. It has very square and wide wing tips like the Judge. It has extremely small struts. And it looks like the center canopy is larger width-wise.
I have only spent 10-20 mins on this kite but it was immediately noticeably different than a typical Screamer. If you love the screamer but you felt it was a bit sharp for you, then your gonna love this kite. They rounded out the sharp areas. It has more depower, the turning is smoother and feels better imo, and it unhooks better. It still has the same great boosting and flies far forward in the wind window giving it great upwind riding.
I have a friend that is a really good rider and extremely picky on kites. He only really likes the Fuel. He has ridden my kite for approximately ~5 hrs and really likes it. He said its the best kite Epic has done and it feels nothing like their other kites. He has been riding it strapless and with boots in lots of conditions.
Overall if you are looking for a one kite quiver or a balanced kite that can do it all take a look at the LTD. Epic is on to something big with this kite.

Well said grantman54 :)
This kite is sure a booster! If you are looking for a kite that is stable, fast, upwind capability and boost like no other, Screamer 10 is the kite!
I have a good friend who rode 2010 Screamers and went to other brand, but after riding the 10LTD, he is switching back to Screamer 10 3G. It is just an amazing kite!
