hahahaha  No money in it for me I´m afraid, so all I do are for free... Just very passionate about the sport ;) none of the norwegian dealers sell abroad anyway so nothing to gain for them ;) Lets just say I´m a big big fan ;) Have had so many different brands, and will stick with Best be course of very good products and excellent customer service... And I ride whatever I like...
Not everyone that prefer another kite/bar than you have an alternative motive you know if that´s you question. I liked the TS better. I always ride with the kite in suicide mode, and with the Best bar I can do this still using the redline safety. I like the response and the slightly lighter bar feel in the turn in the TS better. I like the double safety system with both redline and QSR handles better (I had to use the QSR a couple of years ago when I broke my arm kiting alone, and it worked fine)... Just that I simply like the TS better, but sure the Bandit is also a very nice kite...

Interesting diskussion

Is there anybody out there that would actually chose a kite based on the bar config ?

Personally i've had 4 differnt big brand kites in my 5 years in the sport
all bars have had it's pros and cons.

If you really find a bar you like, you will probably be able to use it on a kite you like.
....and the kite will probably be more important

I would suggest putting "floaties" on that Best bar. The 'soft end winders' don't give it quite enought floatation, among other reasons:

Yes John I must agree Bests customer service is well the best. I rode Best for a few years and really liked their kit, and a few times they really went above and beyond to take care of me.. They definitely have the customer service part done 100%. The new bar looks nice I just prefer no exposed rope thats all. You do sound very content with their products and thats a great feeling when you get a good bang for your buck, I was not trying to be a troll just trying to keep this discussion objective dont be so sensitive you know how many pimps in kiteforum move in and take over posts. I know someone that another brand offered money to write posts for them, the guy said no but you get my drift right? Good winds to all and Happy Carnaval to those in Brasil. :jump:

I have a quiver of TS; 8, 10, 12 and 15. I really am a big fan of the new TS. Best did a great job on these kites. I can ride any kites ranging from , Best, Cab, F-One, Flysurfer etc... and I pay for my own kites.

I tried all kind of kites and honestly the new Best TS are just perfect for me; easy relaunch, good Low-end and high end, good rotation speed and power, good lift, love the new bar and Best service is second to none !

I tried the bandits ranging from v1, to v5. Hated v1 and v2 for bar pressure, v3 was okay. V4; I tried only for about an hour so I cant tell.

This week-end I tried a Bandit V5 14m in really light weather and I must say that I really liked it. It felt like a smaller kite, very light. Wow, the speed was very good, the lift when the wind picked up a bit was also good. Very easy to build apparent wind. The only thing that I didnt trip too much was the bar; I hate that velcro QR, and also I am a fan of OSR. Some people told me also that in really light wind they dont relaunch. I cant say cause I didn't drop it. My Ts 15 can realaunch in sub 10 knots just by pulling on a rear line.

Other than that I think that it is a great kite. Lots of fun to fly. You should try both but I think that both kites are a good choice. Now it makes me want to try the smaller size in bigger wind to see how is the high end :-) I would also like to try that 14m in 15-20 knots wind to see how it performs. F1 design is as usual very very nice, Probably the best looking kites on the market.

Best should hire that guy for the graphics :-)

Jules
