I dunno,
The big bold Flysurfer News at the head of the article made it pretty clear to me that it came from Flysurfer and not from Toby.
Of all the things to get bent outta shape about...

ever tried to replace pullies on a speed 3? you have to remove all the B and C bridles.... very time consuming. they should change the knot arrangements so you can easily replace parts on the pully system.
who would want a kite with 1000 parts? people that want to have rediculous amounts of glide in silly light winds
Hi Plummet.
You do not have to remove all the c and b bridles to replace the pulleys.
After you pull out the yellow mixer line out of the pulley, you just open the larks head on the grey mixer adjustment line and slip it over the pulley. Then it's off.

hmmm.... not on my speed 3. When i replaced the pulleys there was no other way apart from complete dissassembly of the bridles or cut off the bridles which had the pulley's attached.

Hi Plummet,
I made this Video for you and everyone else having problems when replacing their Pulley on Speed 3 Kites.
If you could not do this with your kite, then it's very strange and I would ask if you could send me a pic of your mixer to confirm that there is something amiss with your mixer setup.

Ok, here's the summary:
1) You'll need a postgraduate degree in tapestry.
2) Flysurfer ram air kites need regular "tuning" because of bridle stretch and distortion.
3) Tuning requires hours and hours of time and, even after all these hours of tuning, is unlikely to be correct.
4) After many hours and continual tuning of the "mixer", you'll realise that Flysurfer ram airs are, actually, inferior to inflatables.
5) Unless you're an importer or distributor, after a while you'll buy inflatables and be much happier.

check out ebay. it has hundreds of LEI kites for sale for dirt cheap EVERY DAY. search for flysurfers and they are very rare for sale. and they always bring top dollar. i said Flysurfer but it's the same for all foils, people just don't get rid of them and when they do, it's normally a fast sell.

Actually PMU my LEI bar needs more tuning than my Flysurfers do...and it takes longer too cos that damned knot is bloody hard to get undone. Flysurfer system is much better and the Liros lines have less stretch (or actually, shrink) so even including a few hours for a thorough mixer tune (in front of the telly) it still takes longer to keep my LEI tuned
