Just had an email from the kite people that run the beach kite hut at Gokova, they say that you have to pay to kitesurf on that beach, even if you take your own gear. Anyone else know about this?
They say it's a government thing, I think it's probably an exploit.

Actually you don't pay to kite but you pay to enter the beach. Some years ago they cleaned the beach and put public toilets and showers, so the fee (5€/kiter) is to maintain everything in good shape; plus I think for this reason there are no swimmers at that beach...
