It is more just like a chest warmer and might protect me if i fell on a knife or something sharp but not from falls. Did i order wrong vest it seems as if it is just for providing a little warmth and looks?
I say keep the vest. You never know when you might fall on a knife :)

Don't know about your Mystic vest
But
MY 5/3 Mystic wetsuit kept me Warm & Toasty today at Mohave !!
it's going on it's 4th season & no loose stitching or tares !!
The temp at one time got down to 35 deg, according to the car thermometer.
Was an Awesome day till it started Hailing the size of Dimes ; that kinda Hurt
so we Quit !!
I Really REALLY "LIKE" my Mystic wetsuit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Bille,

I have a custom made dry suit from N-Diver which I used at approximately 1000 dives and is still in great shape (it was made for me 20 years ago).
Any Mystic product would be history by now...

Cheers

I've had two of these mystic d30 2012 vests and the first one lasted a whole day!, the replacement lasted two hours, they are made very poorly, the stitching around the waist that holds in the toggle cord came away pretty much immediately

and the stitching that holds the pads in the side also came away, the same on both vests. It is pretty much unbelievable how fast these break, 2 hours, only put on and off once!! You can almost feel it breaking down as your riding.I have an o'neil checkmate which is 3 years old and still in perfect condition, i only bought the mystic cause i fancied a change.
Very nice vest as well, feels great with the firewall material on the inside, fits great but i have yet to see anyone with one that has lasted longer than two weeks. Make sure you ask if they have sorted out these problems before you buy. See pics.

I really like thr style and design of Mystic products, that is why I keep using them, even if among the pro riders here this brand is not a first choice :(
Had my part of problems with their stiches, on my Flaka jacket (literally came apart and I had to re-sew it basically...and extensivelly use the lighter method).
Also, recently had troubles with the Clicker spreader bar 2.0, as posted in another thread here.
So with them, it's more like a hit or miss ...
