Kiteboarding reminds me a lot of flying airplanes. Great fun that can quickly turn into tragedy when discipline takes a lunch break.
Another Awesome reply from our US fighter pilot for the Air Force.
His Last post focused on -- Operational Risk Management, and for those of Ya rolling
your eyes right now,(positive it's happening) --- there are a few correlations that you can
infer from the fact of Jake being a Fighter pilot :
** He's had the Best training for most ANY job on the planet.
** He's Not just focused on, "in the Moment" or the here and now; but he projects a line
that encompasses ALL for his situational awareness,
((if SH*T goes Bad -- He's Prepared)) --especially since people with equal training are
trying to Kill him.
On his post about Operational Risk Management, There are things that we normal humans
can do to help cut down on the reaction time for Impending Doom :
-- First is the TOTAL elimination of Complacency, (that's one which took my legs, on a HG).
-- Second is Preparedness .
How does This apply to This Thread ?
Think Very Carefully about what your gonna do, cause once you leave the ground or
water, your now Flying.
And Flying Can and Will, "KILL" Ya ; if your Not prepared.
The Crappy thing about Nature is : "she LIKES to toss Ya change-ups" sometimes faster
than you can deal with them !!
Edit :I won't be preaching about equipment flaws with water kites
used for Flying , ever again .
I'm probably one of the worst kiters
on this forum , (mostly because of Different equipment flaws) ; in the air is a Different
story and i can hold my own against some Damn Good pilots. If Ya care to
go HG'ing with me , then i'll break out the Rigid & probably take your Beer any time
you choose, and won't take it personal if i loose.
