Hi Ced.
Have you tried the escape or just the fury? Think the old proto we have been using the last few years is more like the escape and has great bottom end grunt. What's your thoughts on production escape vs fury? I know the smaller sized fury is optimized more for wave but still higher aspect. Thinking 13 and 11 in the escape. Hmmmmm?
Hi
Been trying both models pretty extensively for the last two months.
Escape is medium aspect ratio, really smooth kite, turns tight, nice in the waves. can do some freestyle. (I do basic freestyle) I did prefer the Fury for freestyling.
The fury is High aspect, boosts big, Awesome upwind, but also nice in the waves, dumps a lot of power. depends on your riding style. For wave riding I am talking 9m or 7m in both sizes.
Looping the fury above 20 knots becomes fun
Range for kites is tremendous. I haven't needed a kite bigger than an 11 (I weigh 70kg).
I just got the 5m escape for Cape Town winds… Hope to get one of those screamer days to see how it handles.
Because I do a bit of everything, I battle to choose between the two kites...
