A friend just figured out that airstyle/ oldschool can be fun on snow as well... Here are some pictures of snowkiting boardoffs:

And here I was always told that not using bindings on snowboards is dangerous for my ankles - not true? Does anybody have any data/ advice on this?

Normally yes - the bindings will let your ankle have a better day, and the riding will be easier. But if you have a lot of boards it sure works just for the boardoff jumps, but for riding bindings are way better. It´s a reason they use it in the slopes... The guy rode all the way to the spot on another board with binding, and had this one on his backpack. Was harder to tack with the straps. But will be fun to se what kind of stuff can be done on snow with this setup as well.

Hope someone can get a video of him next time!
