Mui Ne or Bocaray? Best for flatwater

Postby Pin Head » Sun Feb 26, 2012 8:50 pm

As part of my asia trip with Hua Hin, Thailnad already there was thinking about one of the above. Looking fo flat water and not kiting with the masses. Any tips??? Which would you recommend?

Thanks

No flatwater in Mui Ne, but some hours drive up in Na Trang you can find it... But also some sharp stones underneath it.
Don´t know about Bocaray, but probably better than Mui Ne....

I would suggest Boracay.
The later in the year it gets now, the less people.
Use Boracay as base, do trips to Union Beach and Seco Island, flattest you can have.
I am here as well, wind just got back and water looks pretty flat! Going out now!

Mui Ne is approx 20 minutes scooter or cab ride away from an incredible flat water spot. Not a single soul there, I was riding pretty much everyday alone or with maybe an occasional downwinder arriving from Mui Ne.

The bestt time is january and february, before and after the wind is not regular in Mui ne. I spent there half yearf and november and december was very boring with some light 10 knots wind http://kitesurf-balaton.hu but Boracay is even worse and more crowded and more expensive.
