On size both are not that different.

The rocker and outline are the difference, with the skillit being flatter, with more width carried through both the nose and the tail.

The cabrinha website has a lot of this information. Each of these boards are extremely different.

The Skillit is a really fun small wave board that serves as a great introductory surfboard but also works amazing for airs and more advanced surfing. It's also a great light wind option due to its flatter rocket and wider outline and nose.

The S-Quad is a fast and loose board meant for a decent wave. This is a go to board for most kite surfers in small to decent size surf.

The Trigger is meant to be a full performance shortboard. It excels in windier conditions and bigger waves.

The transport is not a surfboard....it's a directional light wind option.

Based on what you're looking for...I would say go with the skillit.

I don't agree that Cabrinha's website has relevant information so I can see differences between those models. Very marketing description and low value as a review. I'd rather the information you wrote above.
Local Cab representant will have soon a Trigger for sale (early March) . Is the learning curve for Trigger really advanced level? I agree on Skillit but timing is not great for Cabrinha logistics since the debut of 2012 collection.

It looks like you are getting some great feedback from people! But here are my two cents.....

The Trigger is a steeper learning curve, but not really enough to base a purchase off of.

I would say both the Trigger and S-quad are just not made for very light wind riding. For example....i almost always use a skillit until the wind goes into the 16+ range. The other boards simply feel too draggy to me.

If your #1 goal is lightwind riding, but want to still be able to surf the board....the skillit is the best choice by far.

i'm 85kg and had a 5'6 Skillet the other year. Great board, gets going quickly, fast, rode it in flats and above head high rollers from 12 mph+.

Very user friendly, easy to tack and gybe and great on smaller waves.

One thing being left out of this thread is that foils and surf boards don't mix. I have a Speed2 19m SA, and the minute you point the board at it to go down the line, it will collapse and fall out of the sky. I presume the Speed 3 is similar. I recently bought a 17m inflatable to fill the void you are talking about but kept my SA since it is the best light wind TT option. If you are just looking to ride back and forth and learning to jibe, this will work very well, but if you actually want to surf, its wouldn't be my recommendation.

I agree,speed is a bad choice for waveriding you will get hammered,its too slow and powerful,it will pull you into wave not over just too slow,Great kite flat water, light wind, boosting, waveriding no.i have a speed 2 15 meter.Tony

I can tell you that the Speed 3 21M WILL NOT. You can go directly at it and it just floats back.

Works GREAT with Surfboards for me...

I dont plan to wave riding on light wind days, but I need a board which floats better to go under 5 knots. I'll save wave riding for the second semester when wind is 20+ knots.
For example I SUK with a Sp3 21, but a smaller board would do the job and be funnier than a transport, race board or SUP.

Also agree that there is no stall with a Sp3 21 dlx, never experienced one!
