We've been hitting Bondurant here in Wyoming for the last few weeks pretty regularly. We just squeezed this session in yesterday just as this big storm rolled in and started dumping on us. We snapped a few pics here so check em out and...if you're interested, the forecast for Friday and Saturday looks darn epic. However, I understand that this storm hit far and wide here in the west, so if it's blowing over fresh powder on a sunny day where you live I suggest eating that up first! Cheers!
P.S. If strawbs happens on Friday with this fresh pow and NW wind I hope to see some good pics and report please! As a matter of fact, It'd be great to see some epic pics from everyone shredding the aftermath of this very storm...Post it Up!

this is sunday, the storm that dumped on you came over the Midwest and made Lake Michigan puke up this mess. 38 degrees and 40 mph yep that was quite a storm.

Bondo's lookin' DEEP! No sage as far as the eye can see. The giant fresh water waves look fun too. My Friday sesh is gonna be me stacking firewood...I probably won't post any pics.

That IS a very good shot of Lake Michigan. I used to be addicted to long period groundswell, and lined up waves. I am now here to tell you that kite surfing in stormy sloppy wind-swell is just as fun or more fun. Thats a very big and stormy sea and someone is shredding it up. You gotta make a little vimeo for us so we can enjoy the show a bit more.... Too cold for me though. Hard core.
How much did this big storm dump anyway? And what direction was the wind blowing, what sort of windlips are on tap? I am loading my car here.....

Oh yeah, do let us know what condition Strawberry has now. I keep hearing tales of woe from the SLC snowpack area. Did it ever fill in?
Weird, as it has been the best February ever on the coast for kiting surf, at least down in LA/Ventucky/Central Cal. Sure am glad to be unemployed. No winter, just Fall/Spring/Fall/Spring/Fall/Spring............and nonstop swells. I hate missing the snow but jeez. It's a tough decision. Post more pics or I will stall further. Lets see some wind lips.

I share your appreciation of stormy sloppy seas. If I didn't I wouldn't get to ride waves, the lakes may be Great but there is no groundswell. It does clean up though, when the elements line up or the wind comes down a bit or switches directions. We went from 4 meter to 8 meter kites in less then 2 hours. Same afternoon, just down the road
while we were out playing with what was left of the wind the local fresh water surfers were getting a little of this
oh yeah this is a snow and land forum
here is a shot from the friday you got dumped on
other small lake snow/ice mischief
