Thanks for the feedback. Yeah I haven't even ridden my SuperShinn yet. (F' you winter! ) Every review I've read say it's a great board. I think it was Mike Birt's original review that said it rides very similar to a Monk, but with better low end and better pop/landings. I do ride choppy crap and blown out, side on messes on the Great Lakes. I don't really ride full on speed, at least it's not my intention most of the time.
The better low end swayed my decision as I unfortunately, and all too regularly end up survival sailing in low winds.

My criteria for board selection was locked in edging, good pop/landings, and chop riding ability. I really wanted to stay with a board the was 41cm wide too.

"Locked in edging" - Nobile 2HD, this board feels like it is on rails to the point it takes effort to slide toeside. Talking about huge edge for jumps... it goes super high.

Winter weight is about 79kg and summer weight about 76kg - weather is starting to get nice enough to allow cycle commute to work

Just so everybody knows, the 2HD is very different to all the shinn boards - I'm not saying that it's worse or better, but very different - if you are thinking of a 2HD in the same conditions as a shinn board then you will get very different results.

The Street is indeed a blend between the SS and Monk - John has the description bang on. The beauty of all these new Shinn twins is that they are all so easy to ride hard, even in the worst conditions, so if you are beating yourself up between two different models then don't - they all have a fair amount of overlap even if they are different, and whatever your style you'll appreciate them all..

The good thing about the Street is that it is the only board in the range that can be bought bare hull only - so you can use your existing fins, pads and straps.. It bring the RRP down to £429 (€499) which is cheap for this series of boards....

The street has some pop - cold scottish morning was a bit greyer (blue sky is an after effect) with marginal wind on my 11m Razor.

Just about to tuck into an s-bend here and you can see the water displacement from loading the street - you can really push the tail and the EPS tips do their magic to ping you off the water.
