What L/D values were you taking for high and low aspect ratio tube kites?
It seems the value you took was not better than 4. I believe even tubes have far better L/D than that.
L/D of Speeds much approach that of paragliders (8+).
Afterthought: perhaps you are integrating the fact the kite's pull is not horizontal, yet another factor that should be taken into account.

Actually "openness" of wind window is not calculated because I could not find any formula for it. Also sea current, board, snowboard, skis are not modelled as this is mainly ww rotation visualization tool.
So clicking HI-AR and LOW-AR only changes gradient of approx usable wind window. There were some discussion about gradients when I built the tool.
