But NO power in this loop - so why do it at all ?
That was a rhetorical question, right?
There is always more power in a looping kite than in a stationary kite, and you know it.

Sure, there is
less power in a tight pivoting loop than in a big arcing loop - but there is still power and therefore pivot loops are still very fun - and useful! C'mon, as a waverider you know that...

So-called pussy-loops are eminently useful maneuvers in a whole bunch of circumstances (to make your kite fall backwards in the window when you bear downwind; to be able to ride away with power and speed after a small transitional jump; etc etc.)
Also, if you are doing a big jump and want a big powerful loop out of your pivot-turning kite, then simply don't pull so much on your bar-end.

There is no rule saying that you must fishpole your bar every time you want to loop your kite... Turn your pivot loop into a big 20-meter arc and you will definitely get more power
