Hi Guys,
This may sound like a dumb question, but do most people pack a pump when they travel. Last time i went to La Ventana, i knew people down there and was sure they had pumps so i didnt bring one. But this time i am headed to Maui and dont know anyone. Any 2c's appreciated.........

... dude, take a pump!!. I was sick of lending my pump to people who didn't take care while borrowing it, while on holidays, people ended up just taking it, not even asking and then one day some pr!ck broke it, and that ment I didn't have one and couldn't pump my own kite,,, I was not happy! And they don't weigh much, so why not take one!

No pump no glory, you don't want to depend on others.

Are you freaking kidding?
You arrived to a place with no other kiter? oops no kiters no pumps.Do not depend on others.
The most hated kiter is the one asking to borrow a pump, period.
I'll lend you my pump if you'll give me a BJ,

That a big pet peeve of mind...it's one thing to forget your pump or have one break on you, but annoys me when kiters intentionally leave it home and plan on depending on others. Those pumps don't last that long and the inner seals wear significantly faster after they got hot from the air compression. I don't think one kite inflation wears them too much, but you pump 3 kites in a row and you can often see the rubber breaking down on a metal shaft. Bring your own pump.

Agree with you 100%

It is also really annoying when you see some that maybe deliberately dont bring their pump from home or the car down to the beach if a long walk - because they assume to be able to borrow a pump :x

Bring your own pump

:D Peter

Those things cost like 5 euros here and they weight nothing. Just buy one and be a happy kiter. I've got 4 pumps at the moment ;)
