"Hey I saw you kitesurfing it looks like fun. Can I buy a board and kite from you, here's $25"

"What? You say it costs more than $25. Ok then I'll rent it, here's $5."

"What are you talking about I can't rent it without taking lessons first. Well, I have five minutes before I have to leave. Why don't you give me the lesson now? I saw you out there doing it, so I am pretty sure I know how to do it."

"Hours of lessons that cost more than $5? You must be kidding, I never had to do this when I rented a canoe. Just forget it."

i use to teach Windsurfing, Sailing (12-18ft) wake boarding and water skiing and none of them took a few minutes to learn nor was it 5 bucks to teach, so i don't understand where you're going with this. All the other waters sports comes with cost.

Hahaha, good one!
But good that it is the way it is...imagine it would be like SUP...
And the ones who really want to go for it, will have the funds somehow!

Honestly! I hope the sport stays being expensive and hard to learn. We don't need those kinds of people in the sport!
