Hi

I tried the Arawak 12 last week in Cuba and love it. But I am not a freestyler and I do not jump yet. The kite was easy, stable and fun to ride but someone recommend me to try the Taina before making a choice. The Taina seems to be more versatile.

Can someone talk about the Taina

Starkites are good kites!

I will try to get hand on the Taina this week and come back with my impressions! I'm a freerider, I like to cruise and would like to learn to jump this season and eventually I would like to play in the small waves (i don't live by the ocean...more lake waves). I was thinking of a quiver of Taina ( from the reviews I read for now) but not sure for the 12 m ...Arawak or Taina? Is any of you can confirm that my selection is making sens for what I want to do!

Taina for sure, especially if you plan on doing waves. Plus the Taina has more low end and it will be easier for you to progress with it. It also jumps very good. You should read the review in SBC kiteboarding it sums it pretty good. I tried it last fall and like it very much.

WHAT THE SBC TEST TEAM RIDERS ARE SAYING:
“Powerful and not twitchy, it hits the mark for the target group. It can jump big without being scary.”
“Proper all-arounder for progressive to intermediate riders, with surprising boost for the more advanced.”
“Smooth and controllable ride in gusty conditions; de-power straps are quickly accessible without a big arm reach.”

They will have them in store at Windspirit Trois-Rivieres. Call Patrick if you want some info.
