Hi, all! This is video from my morning training session. Still can't land railey 2 blind for 5 sessions already. Any advice is appreciated with big respect. I'm learning from Kitesurfing Progression Pro DVD, but still I have to focus on such many things and do them at once. Maybe someone will share what is key for me from this video. https://vimeo.com/39996763PS. Toby, if you're reading this topic, [vimeo]39996763[/vimeo] doesn't work. Maybe because of new version of Vimeo?

So: keep your kite lower, and hold on untill you have passed the bar. Edit: oh, and for the video: leave the s in https, and add www in the adress: http://www.vimeo.com/39996763 between the [vimeo] and [/vimeo]

ive had probs with this one too and asked for advice here.
I think your rotation is good even if its more difficult with the kite high.
You land downwind which is the most difficult part so thats ok.
You have to land with both feet almost at same time and bending forwards, sometimes you land with too much weight on back foot and you are imbalanced in the landing.
Keep the hand in the bar until you have passed it, and keep leaning forward. With kite lower will help also to bring it closer to your back, kite high and you are fighting too much upward lift from the kite thats the reason you let the bar go i think

I agree kite lower will help and in the second attempt you aren't pointing your board downwind enough. looks like you are trying to land on your toes-like you are trying to still ride upwind. Thats insanely hard. Your other attempt look good, I think if you keep the kite lower it should be less awkward and easier for you to land/ride out.

kites too high, pulls your arm straight which kills you drop the back hand
no pull from your arms
u extend legs too soon
u let go go too soon
you're really close
keep your kite lower throughout the trick by adjusting hand position on bar. I usually find my front hand in front of the CL while the back hand is splitting the CL
initiate later
pull your body OVER the bar while your body is still horizontalish
keep legs bent as you initiate the spin and keep them bent
let go just as your boards rotation is perpendicular to direction of travel
land with knees still bent and bend them more keeping body over board, look at toeside edge near rear foot to keep your body over the board
if you want some good learning/ practice tips try learnwake.com, its got some great practice tips for working up and building the foundation of RIDING and LANDING blind.
Its remarkable how little time and air you need to land to blind when your in the correct body position (just think about how easy it is to pop to toeside, blind isnt that much more of a rotation, its just damn awkward when you havent been doing it since day 1

Yes do all that, keep the kite low.... But from what I see you should focus most on overdoing the rotation to blind. Looks like you are not committed enough, like you are backing a bit out... And the rotation starts with the head. I also see you do it towards your left... I did it that way in the beginning, but when I tried it towards right I landed it on my first attempt. If you are right handed you are trying the switch version, and that´s harder As for me rotating the bar early enough does not matter on the raily to blind, only on the blind judge. But still a good habit to get use to.

The key is to really rotate the hips. From the railey position crank the bar to your front hip and start rotating. You have to force the rotation not just drop into it.
