Ha haha that got you looking.

I feel like an argument so here goes.

Wakes styling is for those who can't aford a ski boat, or for guys who are too scared to jump high.

waves are for surfers to lazy to paddle.

old school is just that. old.

flat water is for people too scared of waves.

mega loops are for the brainless.

course racing is boring.

But you just can't beat a old good lawn mowing session.

And Kiteforum is for those no wind days.

I have no prejudice when I see a title that appears like yours, totally clueless at first sight. Many good threads unexpectedly took life after a slow start. Good luck trying to beat the hell out the other threads.

Good luck trying to "prove your point"!

Sorry, but you need to correct that: old school is wakestyle, since it has been done before boardoffs etc.

I guess you don't have wind?

I agree, I almost never have wind which is why I am on this site.

Nice thread Plummet! Supporting the trick-less version of kitesurfing is very noble. I personally cannot do a single run without trying something tricky but I have respect for people who just come and go, it is what they like and that is fine!
In lightwind kitesurfing, coming and going is sometimes all one can really do anyway, it is nice to cruise around powered by a light breeze, very relaxing - well, throwing a trick every now and then is irresistible temptation but still..! :thumb:

dammit i'm not offensive enough to sporn a multi page thread of hatred!.... bugger.

Ned i find myself hard to catagorise. I'm not a trickster but I throw tricks down on a occasions, i ride waves but and not a dedicated wave rider. i look to loop but and not a mega looper.... So i'm sort a generalist. ok at most master of none!.

ps the one thing i don't do is wake style. Don't see the point personally. why go for low tricks that all look exactly the same when you can jump big?

Lastly if i was going to catergerise myself i'd call me an adventure rider. Thats what spins my boat the most. doing epic distances and riding new spots. But I haven't been on mant adventure rides of late......

rant over.
