If it's a kite-specific package, they could have added:
1. An good-quality integrated pump the rear of the vehicle with a long hose.
2. A ventilation system to keep the interior cool while parked so our bladder valves don't delam
3. Integrated sunshades fitted to the window dimensions to block out the sun to aid in keeping temps low as well as keeping kite gear sitting in the vehicle out of external view.
4. In addition to or instead of an exterior roof rack, offer an interior bracing device on the ceiling to store twintips. I have done this with my Honda Fit using some ratcheting straps and it helps when trying to pack more stuff in the car:

I saw the Audi Kite Edition on FB.

I don't have anything against Audi, but I think they're off the mark for kiters. A board rack, liner floor and LED rack lights?........sure that's a good start but a little fluffy if you ask me.

If you want the ultimate kite vehicle get this:
Toyota Hilux w/ diesel engine. 30mpg w/ 4x4
Seats 5 with a bed big enough to hold surf boards and kite gear for 5.
Rubber floor and you're all set.

We have to bushwack sometimes to get to good kite spots. This can involve driving miles on logging roads, beaches, rocks and snow. Sometimes towing a boat. I don't want a 2 seater car for kite duty. Sure fuel mileage is nice.........but I like a truck.
Hey North American kiters: email Toyota and lobby them to bring this truck to the states! I think it would be a great option IMO.
(actually just offer the diesel motor in the Tacoma.)

the hilux is just so sick it's metastatic.

"the Q3 JY has a roof rack to hold a pair of carbon-fiber kiteboards; To keep the vehicle clean during beach excursions, Audi fitted the cargo area with a kite pouch that doubles as a liner for the load floor.

The concept goes overboard, however, with the inclusion of a pair of “Audi Cams,” which can be stowed in a special compartment in the Q3’s cargo area. Basically, active types can affix the “rugged and compact sport cameras” to their kiteboards or helmets with elastic bands (rubber bands? Really high-tech stuff, Audi) and capture all of the day’s wind-powered action. Hypothetical Q3 JY owners could then beam the video from the Audi Cams to the car via a wireless local network, at which point it could be sent to individual phones or devices over Bluetooth."

LOL WHAT?

Nothing beats a good van as a kite addicts vehicle IMO.

File comment: Best kite vehicle I've had, we also have an Amarok if we need to go offroad but these vans come in all wheel drive too (this one is 2wd)
