West coast of France

Hi – i am new to the forum and i’m hoping for some advice about France.
I’ve searched the forum without a lot of success.

Basically this summer we are driving through France in our campervan and simply looking to stop where the kiting is good. As the country is huge I am looking for recommendations for the best spots for advanced kiting. We’d like a mix of waves and flat spots.
We are driving from Cherbourg and had planned to drive down the west coast, perhaps checking out bretagne first. We’ll then head across the bottom to Leucate.
Any advice on the best spots that get regular wind would be appreciated. We’re going in mid July.

Hi,

In Bretagne, you must have to kit to Quiberon in th esouth of Bretagne.
There you should have wind each afternoon.
This place si very good to ride wave.

If there are some stomr with huge swell you can go to ''La Torche'' for the souvenir. If not you can stay to Quiberon you will find good conditions.

With NW to NNE you can sto to Saint malo especialy if the water tyde is low and coefiscient tydes around 90-100.
You will love it !

Near Saint Malo with W to NE you will have Saint Jaccu de la mer and Lancieux Bay.
Nota that it is possible to ride in lancieux bay, with S and SW wind.
Great way to begin inside Lancieux with hight tide use follow the go down sea tyde for 2 km down !

In north of Bretagne you will to a great flat spot call Sainte Marguerite.


After you can drive to Jard sur mer in Vendée and near La rochelle in Charente too.

this is basically the route we are taking; first stop Quiberon.
