Just remember, the fins go in the front. It's backwards from a surfboard..... with a kiteboard directional, the fins go in the front.

For a newbee wide and loose straps might be fine, indeed.

But for experienced waveriders, it is more a personal matter.

I for one, HATE loose and/or wide rear straps :x

The front strap, yes - indeed there should always be half or one inch further distance between screws, as your foot is twisted 8)

But for the back strap - it must not be too wide nor too lose - but should have a firm grip (IMO), so you can really perform and push or pull with force, and you will get amazing aerial options :thumb:


To the O.P. it does not matter, as it will come much later, so loose straps are fine as you have to learn jibing and getting in/out etc - but would just mention this to others, as straps are not a "journey" towards strapless, nor a thing you have to live with - it is a whole other ballgame with many extra options and more power :rollgrin:
