i would love to see the likes of Ian Alldredge or Patrick Rebstock fighting Mitu, Airton, Keahi, etc.

it´s a shame if this young lads are trapped in this non-sense of surf-cool, blá-blá-bá, progressive ridding, bláblá-blá, credibility, bláblá, vision, blá-blá-bá. In 20 years time they may regret it.

walk the talk by engaging the tour, go hard on your heat and then go home to live another day.

IMO the worst thing Ben did is that he explaind himself for not competing.
Well like most cases (for example Len10 - i'll explain that later) it would be better for him to just say ''i don't have the time to be on the tour or whatever other reason he would come up with instead of that'' because lets face it , it's a lot safer to be outside the competition and talk about what's wrong with it than competing and exposing yourself.
Don't get me wrong i really like Ben and his style but saying that KSP is wrong is not helping the sport. You want to promote your style compete and if you don't make it to the podium that's all cool we'll still like you but i'll bet you when there is no video editting involved you'll find a hard time to compete against Mitu or Airton.
Bottom line is that Ben (like Len10 and his ''hardcore'' riding and megaloop contests) have found a new way of making money (making videos and promote a different lifestyle) and that's just fine but the hard truth is that making videos and competing is a hole different game.

Chris1973, while I don't see difference between Ben's and KSP style (someone being ripped out in competition doesn't look like solid difference), I see clear difference between Len10 style (megaloops) and available tours (PKRA). Why should Len10 compete in wakestyle, if everyone stoked watching him doing crazy things?

Here is another reason.......

The following is an advert I recieved on my facebook page under one of my kiteboarding groups.
The heading is:" Kitesurfing wave riding clinic by KSP world wave tour rider"

http://www.windydream.com/#/wave-clinic/4563357959

Below is the 2011 KSP rankings to verify....

http://www.kspworldtour.com/index.php/r ... /2011.html

Point allocation looks like you show and pay, you're a pro. And if you can't afford it the next year, do what this guy is doing. The clinic is only $100, which is quite a deal since you will be instructed by a KSP world tour rider. Here is the most current footage of the ripper taken directly from his website. Enjoy :D
