Flew the Ride back to back with the Park at the naish demo in OBX sound side.
Ride had a little more bar pressure but not heavy, slower of the two turning wise, better low end of the two, but you get the feeling that a lot of that impression is the bar pressure difference. It can flap a little in the loops along the trailing edge. Very easy to jump. Nice clean bar with no swivel.
The Park is the better looper. Crisper response. Also a really easy jumping kite, but had a little less power on the low end.... or at least it felt that way.
Rode 10m in both. Both are really really nice kites and I would consider the ride in a bigger kite but felt the park was a better fit for me in medium to small sizes.
The demo gang were great.
Try em if you can.

I heard that it is the new Light Wind Weapon... the reason for featuring the large TT and Alaïa in the pic
This new kite needs its own thread, by the way...

So I got the 10 Ride. Finally. Super fun kite. I need a little more time on it, but so far it seems like a jumper. Greast upwind. Handles gusts surprisingly well. Used it with strapless skater and a TT.
Very smooth kite.
I'll try to "force" windrider to have a go on it

Hey taut have you tried the smaller rides... I want a new 6m but don't like the smaller parks, they move too fast for me.

Have not tried the 6, but have been on the 8 quite a bit now. Does not turn as fast as the Park, but a very solid ride (ugh not huge on puns).
I think what has taken me mostly by surprise is how solid the canopy has been. It has a surprisingly solid canopy. I mean I can get it to flutter, but if you throw any kite through the window while depowering I doubt they will not all flutter. I think it has more power than the Park. On the 8 I was lit up in very gusty conditions and the kite seems to handle squalls well. I do think it is important to pump it up hard...to say it this way..i took out the 6 bolt right after.
Would you consider the Bolt? I got that for my 6. I just have not tried the Ride 6.

I have a bolt and a park 6m, mostly use the bolt... Just wondering about the ride.

Definitely I would not hesitate to say go for it. It does seem slower than the park..I have too little time on the 6 park and no time on the 6 ride BUT comparing the 8's it is exactly that. I do think the 8 ride seems a little more powerful than the Park. Very smooth turning, and very good windrange. The for the 8 I am thinking it was about 20-25 mph...with strong gusts.
The windgraph is the closest measure..but not entirely accurate.I'd say it was stronger than it shows.
