Thinking of going and was wondering where best to be based. Heard Le Morne is great, but wind can be offshore and maybe crowded? Would I be better based kiting somewhere else on the island - be nice to have flat water and waves. I'm an experienced kiter

Cheers

Hit Le Morne Bill.
The crowds are only at one spot and the lagoon is huge upwind.
There are also several other easier waves around .
I don't go there much in winter because i grew up here and know what is was like before the hords of "experts" arrived.
On the water it still is magic.

Nico is the expert here.
Been there three times myself. One word, excellent!

Upwind the water is even flatter and the lagoon is huge...
You seen see on the image that the water there is even brighter, meaning shallower.

Be carefull with low tide however.

Nice to do a downwinder from the point with the cross.

P.S.
Nico, what's up with Indian?

Hi Guys,

I might be going this Aug as we have a friend up in the NW near Grand Bale. Is there many good spots around there?

Any info, spot names, schools, websites would be good?

Its not a huge place so a drive down to the La Morne will be happening on more than one occasion I should imagine.

Cheers

Baz

Indian shut down. (some poisoning of 60 pers problem last year)
they have now broken it up and are redoing two setups there.
