kami. sounds like the moment your down looping into a powered swoop across the powerezone. A tighter loop will give your less power!.

ps i'd expect a the transition loop looping with the back hand. I through the loop instantly usually off a wave lip... just fish pole back hand and hold on. Its not a full flown kite loop as your looping at thye edge of the window and more often than not your landing before the kite completes a full loop.

Sounds like beginners talk here  come on guys a kiteloop is with your backhand and downloop with your front hand.

Haha, if you're referring to my question then you sound like a begginner in reading posts... we know kiteloop and downloop definitions, my question is on a different issue, please read again!
If you are refferring to others then, yes, they are all bloody beginners, only me and you are experienced kiters in this forum!

Ah - that sounds like we're talking about something different  I'd like to see a video of that, of the wave :thumb:

My version is ... if I'm riding right hand forwards, then do a regular jump and turn it into a "loop" transistion - I just keep pulling with my front (right) hand on the way down from the apex, so the kite redirects and continues to turn, loops down around into the opposite direction ... riding the boards as needed to keep tension in the lines etc and keep on riding.

What plummet is talking about is the "proper" jump transition I think - I've tried but it needs a quicker kite than the big FSer (fnar!) and I've yet to consistenly land one without a jarring impact on the smaller kites (poor knees!) or just sinking ... too late with the backhand loop ;)

I found when doing a front roll down loop transition in light winds it was easy to send the kite to far back and then not having enough time to redirect the kite and get the power from the down loop before hitting the water. By concentrating on only sending the kite to twelve I was able to land a lot more of these transitions

I do this one but then with a downloop after the inverted frontroll, just pull hard on your front hand after you done the frontroll and then ride away in the other direction.

Tim, do you do the downloop whilst in the air, or after landing?

yeah. big speed 3 is a different fish all together. I don't usually transition loop that. its a weird kite in the loop. it doesn't like looping powered that well.
The process i'vr discovered for that kite for soft landings is this.
send kite to 12 not past. boost, bar in.
set a very slow redirect going instantly. let bar out halfway.
hold slow redirect until almost landed.
bar in the whole way for landing
redirect hard on landing for a powered ride a way.
