I'm about to design a poster for a kite school and I´ve been looking all over the net for good high resolution kitesurfing photos. 300 dpi and at least 2592x3872 pixels. But it´s damn hard to find good photos, even on the stockphotos sites.

Does anyone here know some good site where I can find good high quality kiteboarding photos?

Gonna be hard to find that. Most cameras dont have that high of a resolution. Have some really big pictures too. but usually i get em 72dpi since most cameras (i know of) have this resolution.
Why dont you guys get someone with a insane camera and shoot some pics with the people from the kiteschool?

There was one photo that I think was pretty good! The perfect photo for my ad would be a portrait format photo showing water, clear sky, kitesurfer performing a trick and the kite should be visible in the air.

@GrodanBoll: I'm not sure what they're charging right now; it depends on use. I also sell some directly on my website (gallery.joshanon.com), and the pricing might be a bit lower. Pretty much everything on there is model released, as well, so there shouldn't be any legal hassle, and every shot's off a pro camera (most likely either a Canon 1Ds or 1D of different models, depending what year the shot's from). Hope that helps!

fyi if you have the pixel dimensions there's no such thing as dpi, dpi is print resolution. if you want a 4x6 at 300 dpi (ignoring the dots to pixel conversion) that's 1200x1800 pixels or 2 megapixels. if you know how big your poster is going to be you can do the math to find out how many pixels you need if you want to print it at 100%
