i love the idea of norths new lock off inflation valves and built in stopper when you pull the pump out. however, theres way too much resistants when pumping :pump: .

from first pump to last, i swear im going to snap my pump. we have been over this before. i am one for putting your finger over the valve instead of a stopper. single point inflation no prob. multi point inflation dont need it in the LE but cant do the struts without stoppers. dont mind the pumping, dont want to screw my back up in the process though. (its a futher mucker with my dyno!)

who knows how to make it easier. ( sarcasm free please ie; :whogives: )

oh, btw. my new 2012 12m north rebel boosts to the moon, drifts down the line and never flutters

If you shove the nozzle too far down the valve it makes the air passage too small. Just pull the nozzle back a mm or 2 and the pumping is like any other kite.

if you have a big enough pump attachment you could also just pump in the deflate valve... i did that with my hadlow pros

Cut the tip of your hose nozzle to a little smaller than the inflation valve opening, then it will not go in so far and you will pump more air also.

you should be using the pump attachment that fits over the bladder inflation nozzle - not the pump attachment that fits inside the nozzle. If you do this it should be worlds easier.

....just listen to sarc.

There is no need to cut anything or use the deflation valve.

Adding to sarcs comment - you'll find that if you simply use the next nozzle size up on your pump (which can't go in too far), everything will be completely normal.

If its not completely normal, you're doing something odd!

This is certainly the way to do it. It also works with Naish kites and makes pumping easier.

I still wish North would put the deflation valve near the middle of the kite to allow faster rolling up of the kite, and to allow the deflation valve to be used for inflation.

 CG
