Hi All,
End of august last year picked up two new Fuses 2011, latest model at that point.
Very nice kite, all-round, good lowend, good high end, nice turning, good hang time, great quality bar. On the riding side nothing wrong, very good kite overall and still love it.
On the quality side however it's a different story. Last saturday, well less than a year later including a quite severe winter so not that much riding on the kite, I unpacked my kite and encountered a major flaw. They overlooked to place a patch on the 10m on the place where the bridle line runs over the leading edge. The consequence is that I now have an almost brand new kite where the bridle line has almost entirely cut the leading edge. Pure luck that the kite didn't explode yet. On both sides of the kite the same issue. Immediately checked my 7m as well but that one was ok having a patch on the right spot.
End of the story? Really nice kite, check the flaw before you get into trouble!

Looks like a fin scratch or something hard on packing.
Anyone else?

Maybe you got it scratched weeks ago and after a hit or too much pressure or a sharp object while landing would cause that!
I am not affiliated with North in any way and deal with a different brand also i do repair kites so that is my opinion by looking at it...all the best, Phil.

I don't see how the line would scratch the leading edge in that direction... The line is pulling to the opposite side

yeah, guys! keep selling the north kites and leave the apologizing to Dan!
how it is "pulling to the opposite side" and how it is possible to "fin scratch" both sides of the kite in the same place symmetrically?

huuummm,nice try.
that bridle is oriented 180 degrees from the wear when in flight,
If you have the same wear on the other side,i'd say maybe it inverted?
seems totally different than the rally issue.

@Toby, seriously, fin scratch? hard packing?
You must be kidding me...
@eightsmiles @detourpr production mistake...trust me and see the picture below
@nobby raish
On the picture you see the line lying in the opposite direction on the kite but normally it wraps around the leading edge and there is one patch but not in the right direction.
There was another guy with the same kite on the same beach and the wear was showing already. Luckily for him I warned him before the damage was as worse as with my kite..
No more posts that discredits my point please since it is as valid as it can be.

I see that picture and write what I think.
I don't see it scratched on both sides, maybe I didn't read that info?
I don't sell North.
And everything is possible...that's why I asked if someone else has the same problem.
If, then maybe there is a general problem,

I doubt it is North fault except if that specific bridle line rubs on the leading edge while the kite is flying (thus it should had been reinforced)...i have never used a North kite before so i don't know and that is the only case scenario that can justify that North has a problem in the design!
After repairing kites for the last 4 years i get to see such cracks on the leading edge in different brands and 90% of the cases are users fault-misuse! Hopefully you are in the 10%
You can still try contacting North for this but after having a kite for 1 year it is a long shot even if you used it or not!
