All manufacturers make mistakes, which they probably should have counteracted during the developing faze.
If this didn't happen, it all comes down on how they solve the problem.
North is, at least in the Netherlands, not known for his above average customer support. Kubus doesn't "do" North anymore so I don't know how it is right now. I was a North user for 7 years during which I had several quality problems with bars and kites and they weren't addressed properly, so I changed to a different brand from who I know for fact that they had issues with quality but corrected them very well and very accommodating.
