Hear what your saying about breakage, hasn't the 2012 got extra stringers making it more robust? They have a 2 or 3 year warrantee, wonder if it's covered if using boots, is it only certain boards like wakeboards that would be covered when using boots by the manufacture? Interesting point perhaps?

Started unhooking last year with the laluz. Also have a shot knee and this board lands so smooth its perfect. Plenty of pop for freestyle but won't be good for wakestyle moves due to flatter rocker. But don't let people who haven't tried it put you off. It has as good or better pop than a North Team series which I have for 3 months but had to sell cause it was killing my knee.

One guy here broke an Infra after a kiteloop (not sure if using boots) and it wasn't covered by warranty. My post about breakage wasn't meant particularly at La Luz though. Flat boards are not tested by manufacturers for boots and when you ride boots you put a greater stress on the board. Don't ask me why, but there is a reason Hadlow has one board for straps and another one for bindings. I don't want to jump into a discussion though, as I am no expert and my statement about breakage could've been a little bit exaggerated, as it is based only on other's opinions when riding flat boards with boots.
I have no idea about warranties, but how would anyone check if you broke the board when riding boots and not straps?
Here is a nice video explaining stuff about boards for bindings.

Because most common part to fail is the inserts, boots put great strain on them since you can hold so much more power, and the inserts get ripped out. Even happens on boards designed for boots like the cabrinha custom (but they warranty it).
So the easies way to check if you were wearing boots is whether the inserts are torn out :p can't really happen with straps since your foot would come out first

I am riding the la-luz for the past 2.5 years. This is the best board i have tried since the earlier F.Ones. If you like a smooth ride and soft landings this is the board for you. Yesterday we had a 25Kts wind and somewhat choppy water and I had a great time on my LaLuz 132 2011. At the end of the day I went to my local dealer and collected my new 2012 one, unfortunately couldn't take it b4.

Just to let you know, I was down my local beach on Saturday, Greatstone in Kent. Those Liquid Force guys are the dogs dangles, James Bolding is the man. That was a bit off topic but I did see 6 boards, all Xenon on the same beach, not bad for a small company, there was 2 Infa's, 1 Rayo and 3 Laluz's, so it is certainly popular on our beaches. When I am back on my feet I want to try out small fins on my Laluz, any body tried that out?

I have W-series and I use it with straps. So don't agree to opinion that rocker boards are bad for use with straps. At least there is no problem with my W-series, very comfortable with those D3O straps. And as someone already mentioned rocker of W-series will make landings much softer (regarding your knees problem).
