Did anyone try this harness? Does it give a good lumbar support? Does it avoid the harness to goes up, as you can use it more tied?

Thanks

I've ridden for several years and always used a waist harness. Bought a Code 1 three weeks ago because it felt great in the store, I thought the BOA adjustment would provide great support. Tried it out and for the first time ever I considered getting off the water because of how much it was hurting my back. Took it back to the store and got another harness which has been fine.

Code 1 may work for some of you, great, but it was killing me (I have absolutely no back issues and I am in peak shape).

I'm coming from the opposite background - when I started kiting, had serious back issues, so I went the seat-harness route. Later I rode with a hybrid (waist with straps) for a few seasons, and at one point i've decided to ditch the straps and never looked back since my today's riding style doesn't stress the back as much. So a few weeks ago I've got the Code 1 and so far - loving it! This harness is light, it's comfortable and easy to tight-down when you need to without fighting with straps - what else can you ask for? Sure thing, the Code 1 is among the most expensive harnesses right now, but you've got to shop around and even at full retail it's worth it.

I appreciate that others may have had a better experience with the Code 1, as posted above, but I think it highlights how important it is to have a good shop to deal with. If you are able to demo before you buy, or if your shop is forgiving with you if (once and a while) you buy something that doesn't work for you, then life is great. Had I lost the purchase price plus tax on a harness that cut into my back as badly as that one did, I would be quite bitter.

Try before you buy.

I don't like the Code01 for the same reason I don't like the BOA system on snowboard boots. It feels like wires digging into my skin. Even if it's not tight, after awhile the pressure points start to bother me. I remember seeing a video where Mystic said they were going to stop making the Warrior after the Warrior III. I hope that's not the case because if all they have is the BOA system, I'm out.

got myne now for a season, bought it for my back issue. must say; works just for me. you can turn that wheel until youre eyeballs come out :). On the other hand, after a couple of weeks you cant pull the knob out anymore due to the wear and tear of sand ,salt water, etc. even when rinsing with fresh water. but hey! once got the perfect setting why release the knob?

There's a lifetime warranty on the whole mechanism, so don't be shy on cranking it! )))
