everything else.
you need to have each and every skill dialed to do well. you can't make up for a weakness in one skill by having excess of another.

get training!

That would be for freestyle and wave.

Race is all about crossing the line first :thumb:

I would say the timing and position when crossing the "starting line"

When i raced sailboats a perfect start and getting first to the windward mark meant :winner2:

Anticipating wind shifts, tacking fast, know your angles (do not overshoot the windward mark) :thumb:

Well saying everything is important doesn't really help...though I do understand what you mean :-)

I do have "some" problems with pointing and not overshooting the target by a mile. :-)

I am working on finding the upwind drive and there I am trying to get my bar dialed in with a custom depower. It is actually pretty hard.

I went out yesterday in 9 mph so I think I am getting better in the light wind, but it is hard to convert all the energy to board speed....which I think stems from me needing to get into better shape.

I'm not intending to be a great racer by any means, but it is fun to race..but if I do not see any progress I will get bored with it I think.

So I am trying to set up a list if things to work at and then try to prioritize them. :-)

Also what length lines do you guys usually use. I've been going out with 28s lately, but figure 32 might be better for tacking in the light winds.
